Discipline came from sport. Everything else, he built.
Sanatan Jana grew up nearly 30 kilometers from Midnapore, in a part of rural West Bengal far removed from the world he now works in. Sport taught him discipline before business ever did. An early flirtation with the civil services sharpened how he thinks. And a string of ventures — some that worked, some that didn't — eventually led him to found Nirjan Jana Group, a business spanning internet and technology, agriculture, and export-import, now serving clients and trade partners across North America, Europe, and Australia.
His approach was shaped early by one hard lesson: growth matters, but principles matter more.

Born in rural West Bengal, ~30 km from Midnapore, into a family with roots in farming and trade.
Excels in sport through school years before an injury ends that path — discipline stays.
Begins graduation studies while helping with the family's farming and trade work.
Completes graduation; begins preparing for the UPSC civil services examinations.
Moves to Kolkata; enters business through the gold and spice industries.
Joins a marketing and sales firm, completes formal training; founds Umachi & Sons, an agricultural consultancy.
Steps away from the spice trade over a difference in professional values; founds Nirjan International.
Launches Nirjan SeaSouls; Nirjan Jana Group crosses 40+ active clients across three continents.
